On July 19th, the Presentation Meeting on Collecting Projects in the Field of Aerospace Medical Experiments for Space Station Application and Development Engineering was grandly held in the Second Lecture Hall of the Engineering Management and Intelligent Manufacturing Research Center of Hefei University of Technology. This meeting was hosted by the China Astronaut Research and Training Center and organized by Hefei University of Technology, aiming to stimulate the enthusiasm of scientific and technological workers to apply for projects and actively participate in the application and development of China's space station. Research Fellow Li Yinghui, Deputy Chief Designer of the Astronaut System of China Manned Space Engineering and Director of the National Key Laboratory of Aerospace Medicine, Qu Lina, Director Designer in various research directions and overall work in the field of aerospace medical experiments, as well as Chen Xiaoping, Wei Ming, Wang Lidong and other relevant experts interpreted the guidelines for attendees on site. Professor Zheng Lei, President of Hefei University of Technology, Academician Yang Shanlin, Director of the Academic Committee of HFUT, Professor Yang Xuezhi, Dean of the Research Institute of HFUT, and Professor Zhang Qiang, Dean of the School of Management of HFUT attended the meeting, with Professor Ding Shuai from the School of Management of HFUT presiding over the meeting.
More than 120 researchers from 16 institutions attended the meeting, including University of Science and Technology of China, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University, Anhui University, Anhui Medical University, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences , Guangzhou State Laboratory, the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Science & Technology and others.
At the meeting, Research Fellow Li Yinghui gave a detailed introduction to the planning and guidelines, experimental facility resources, space experimental design considerations and elements, etc. in the field of aerospace medical experiments for space station application and development engineering. She focused on the detailed interpretation of the guidelines released this time and the subsequent project collection, and together with the experts present provided detailed answers to the questions raised by the participants. The attendees actively interacted with the expert team of the Astronaut Research and Training Center in a heated atmosphere. It is expected, through this presentation meeting, to collect a group of technologically advanced, necessary, cost-effective, and valuable projects to conduct experimental research of in-orbit technology and fully bring out the benefits of space station application.
“Build a space station for use.” As one of the four major application fields of space station, the field of aerospace medical experiments has long focused on the medicine, human factors, and related scientific issues faced by long-term human survival in space. Basic, forward-looking, and exploratory space experimental research has been systematically carried out to provide theoretical support and technical reserves for the sustainable development of China Manned Space. To ensure the smooth implementation of collecting space science and application projects, the Chinese Astronaut Research and Training Center will hold an online Q&A meeting for project collection subsequently and welcome the attention and participation of all researchers.
