Introduction to AACSB International Accreditation

AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is an international association of business schools and a global business education association, which connects educators, students, and business to commit to sharing knowledge and best practices, and accelerating innovation in business education to achieve a common goal: to create the next generation of leaders. Since it was founded in 1916, AACSB has provided quality assurance, business education intelligence, and learning and development services to over 1,700 member organizations and more than 840 accredited business schools worldwide.

AACSB’s mission is to to foster engagement, accelerate innovation, and amplify impact in business education. AACSB strives to continuously improve engagement among business, faculty, institutions, and students, so that business education is aligned with business practice. To fulfill this goal, AACSB will encourage and accelerate innovation to continuously improve business education. As a result, business education will have a positive impact on business and society -- and AACSB will amplify that impact.

AACSB’s vision is to transform business education for global prosperity. AACSB plays a significant role in serving business schools, students, business and society, and making that benefit better known to all stakeholders. AACSB requires accredited business schools to have a positive impact on society in promoting this vision. Therefore, social impact runs through various parts of these standards.

The School’s AACSB Accreditation Process

The School became aware of the importance of AACSB accreditation in 2013, thus the school has long been preparing for the accreditation. In October 2016, the school applied and was accepted as a member of AACSB. On January, 2018, the EA report was officially submitted. On June , 2019, iSER was officially submitted.

On August 2019, the school received the official email that iSER was accepted by the IAC. The First Progress Report was submitted in June, 2020. The Second Progress Report was submitted in May, 2021. The Third Progress Report was submitted in February, 2022.

On June 10, 2022, the school received the official email from IAC accepting the Third Progress Report and entered the on-site visit.

On July 15, 2023, the final SER has been submitted to IAC.

On November 12-15, 2023, the Initial Accreditation Visit has been conducted.”
