On the morning of June 15th, the School of Management held a degree awarding ceremony for the graduates of 2023 at the Hubing Auditorium. Chen Gang, Deputy Secretary of the HFUT Party Committee, relevant officials of the School, members of the Degree Evaluation Committee, representatives of teachers, representatives of students’ parents, and all the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree recipients of 2023 attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Niu Shanshan, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee and Secretary of the School Discipline Inspection Commission.
The ceremony began with the solemn national anthem, and Zhang Qiang, Dean of the School of Management read out the "Decision on Granting Degrees to the Graduates of 2023 of the School of Management". The supervisors present presented degree certificates to degree recipients, turned tassels, and took a group photo as a souvenir.
Chen Gang, on behalf of HFUT, expressed warm congratulations and heartfelt blessings to the graduates who successfully completed their studies and obtained their degrees in his speech. He hoped that they would firmly adhere to their ideals and beliefs based on the truth, and work hard with unwavering determination; they would seek truth and improve their skills in overcoming difficulties and advancing bravely; they would be optimistic, and maintain physical and mental health amidst difficulties, obstacles, and the challenges of life. Chen Gang wished all graduates would have smooth sailing and bright future, their dreams would come true, and they would open a new chapter of fearless and worthy life!
Professor Chai Yidong from the Department of E-Business and E-Commerce, a teacher representative, and Ji Shuqi from Marketing Class 19-1, a student representative and a winner of Anhui Province Outstanding Graduate, delivered speeches at the ceremony. Chai Yidong congratulated the graduates, reviewed the past, talked about the present, and looked forward to the future with them. He hoped that they could continue to inherit the excellent cultural heritage of China, and through the professional foundation and thinking mode acquired during their stay at the School of Management, they would create a wonderful life in the divergent and restraint future. He hoped that graduates, no matter where they were or what profession they pursued, could always maintain curiosity for knowledge, positive attitude, and kind qualities. He also wished that their dreams would bloom in the sunshine and become the owners of their lives. Looking back on her undergraduate experience, Ji Shuqi was grateful for the education provided by the School, the help of teachers, and the companionship of her classmates. In the face of the overall strategy of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the unprecedented changes in the world in a century, she called on the students to be loyal to the motherland and brave for the struggle, so that they would make their young lives shine in innovation and creation, without failing to live up to the times and youth, and they would ride the wind and waves, and never forget to make achievements in the future. On the occasion of departure, she wished her alma mater eternal youth and greater glory.
The degree awarding ceremony for the graduates of 2023 of the School of Management came to an end amidst singing. The attending leaders, teachers, and parents warmly applauded all the graduates, and 607 graduates embarked on a new journey with good wishes from their alma mater, teachers, and friends.
