In order to further enhance the aesthetic and humanity qualities of college students, guide them to follow the norms of workplace etiquette, establish awareness of shaping and maintaining their professional image, and enhance their workplace etiquette literacy and comprehensive competitiveness in employment, the Hubing Workplace Etiquette Exhibition of "Enriching Culture and Admiring Beauty", organized by the Student Affairs Office and hosted by the School of Management, was held as scheduled in the Third Report Hall of the Management Building on the afternoon of November 29th.
This etiquette exhibition integrates "exhibition, lecture, and practice", and is launched online and offline simultaneously. It is divided into two parts: open etiquette classes and immersive experiences. In the open class, Professor Cai Zhenglan gave detailed lectures on the basic knowledge and norms of commonly-used workplace etiquette such as handshake etiquette, business card etiquette, ride etiquette, elevator etiquette, meeting etiquette, visit etiquette, and catering etiquette. He vividly analogized workplace image management to the process of decoding to encoding, from five dimensions: virtual image, static image, dynamic image, professional image, and expert image. He vivid explained how to manage and enhance one's professional image.
In order to deepen the students' understanding and mastery of etiquette norms, an immersive experience session was specially designed. The students visited the "Enriching Culture and Admiring Beauty" etiquette corridor to observe the development of etiquette and understand the beauty of ancient and modern etiquette. Professor Cai Zhenglan led the students to perform scenario plays and role simulations in different topics. The students experienced the details of workplace etiquette such as shaking hands and exchanging business cards on site, and the atmosphere was lively and enthusiastic.
The Hubing Workplace Etiquette Exhibition of "Enriching Culture and Admiring Beauty" focuses on the beauty of Chinese etiquette and builds a campus etiquette culture. At the same time, it focuses on the practical needs of college students' career development, innovatively creates an etiquette corridor, conducts workplace etiquette training and open classes, and guides young students to know, understand, and practice etiquette through multiple channels and methods. The "Enriching Culture and Admiring Beauty" etiquette corridor is located in the Function Room on the third floor of No. 1 Management Building. We welcome students to visit and exchange ideas, enrich etiquette knowledge, and improve etiquette cultivation.
