Personal Introduction

Dr. LI Kai, a native of Mengcheng, Anhui Province, docotr in management, is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Management, Hefei University of Technology. 

In terms of scientific research, he is mainly engaged in the research of operation management, and optimization and decision-making in the new generation information technology environment. He has conducted collaborative research at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA, and the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is a key member of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Innovative Research Group. He has chaired four NSFC projects, one of which was awarded "Excellent" in the post-evaluation of NSFC. He has chaired one project of Anhui Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Outstanding Youth. He has participated as a key member in many large-scale research projects such as NSFC Major Program and National 863 Key Program.

Currently, he has published 100 papers on enterprise operation management, and related optimization theories and methods, in academic journals at home and abroad, such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Omega, Theory and Practice of Systems Engineering, Journal of Systems Engineering, etc., more than 50 of which have been indexed by SCI. He has also published two monographs, one of which has been funded by the National Publication Fund. He has received two second prizes for Excellent Achievement Award in Scientific Research of Higher Education Institutions, obtained seven national invention patents, and participated in the formulation of six national standards and sixteen group standards. 

In terms of talent cultivation, he has conducted in-depth research and exploration on theories and methods of teaching mode, teaching content, teaching methods and teaching organization and management, targeting at the cultivation of high-quality management talents. He has presided over various teaching quality projects including Anhui Pronvincial MOOC Demonstration Project, Anhui Provincial Teaching Research Key Project, Anhui Provincial New Liberal Arts Research and Reform Practice Project, etc.  He has been awarded one special prize of Anhui Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. 

In terms of academic positions, he is the executive director of the Sorting Committee of the Chinese Society of Operations Research, the executive member of the Sustainable Operation and Management System Branch of the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering, the executive director of the Complex Equipment Development and Management Branch of the Chinese Society of Optimal Methodology and Economic Mathematics, the academic committee member of the Intelligent Manufacturing System Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering, and the academic committee member of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, Process Optimization and Intelligent Decision-making.
