On the morning of September 27, the School of Management invited Professor Wang Huacheng from Renmin University of China to give a symposium titled "Accounting Information and Macroeconomic Operation". Professor Wang began by discussing the origins of accounting index compilation, followed by a detailed introduction to the concept and basic framework of accounting indices, the principles of compiling macroeconomic value indices, and the relationship between accounting macroeconomic value indices and economic operation. The report emphasized that macroeconomic decision-making requires more accurate data, and that accounting macroeconomic value indices can provide decision-making support for the formulation of macroeconomic regulation policies, income distribution reform policies, industrial economic development policies, and regional economic development policies. Professor Wang also provided insights into future research directions: first, addressing the data sources for accounting index compilation, recommending the use of monthly reports from enterprises as the foundation for index compilation; second, creating an academic atmosphere for accounting index research by suggesting the organization of academic seminars focused on accounting indices; and third, enhancing the international impact of accounting index results, as accounting indices are an original achievement of the Chinese accounting community, he suggested strengthening the international promotion of accounting indices to enhance the global influence of Chinese accounting.

The special report deeply explored the core concepts and key methods of constructing accounting indices, linking micro-enterprise behavior closely with macroeconomic development. The index serves as a "barometer" reflecting macroeconomic conditions, enhancing the role and influence of accounting work in macroeconomic decision-making. Nearly 60 faculties and students from the School of Management attended the report, creating a lively academic exchange atmosphere and generating positive responses among the attendees. Academician Yang Shanlin and Dean Zhang Qiang attended the meeting and presented Professor Wang with a certificate of appointment as an expert on the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Anhui Province.
