Our Students Achieve Outstanding Results in the 2024 National Enterprise Competition Simulation Competition

The 2024 National Enterprise Competition Simulation Competition, guided by the China Academy of Management and the Economic Management Discipline Group of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Higher Education's, and hosted by the Decision Simulation Professional Committee of China Academy of Management with Jinan University as the organizer, successfully concluded on May 18. Our students, Fan Luxin, Qiu Jingyu and Li Yang from the Class of 2022, Men Bingjing, Yongqing Zhuoga, and Sang Mu from the Class of 2021, formed two teams that each won the national third prize in the Enterprise Decision-making track.

The 2024 National Enterprise Competition Simulation Competition kicked off in early March. This year's national semi-final attracted 6,632 teams from 581 universities, with 2,619 teams from 420 universities competing in the Enterprise Decision-making track. After the initial round at our school, 6 teams advanced to the national semi-final. Throughout the competition, our students demonstrated tenacity, showcasing their solid foundation in management theory, excellent adaptability, and a spirit of teamwork and collaboration. After intense competition, they ultimately achieved an impressive result of 2 national third prizes.

Enterprise competition simulation utilizes computer technology to replicate the competitive environment of businesses, allowing participants to practice business management and decision-making. This simulation trains students to navigate a dynamic business environment, facing multiple competitors, while promoting teamwork and applying knowledge from production management, marketing, financial accounting, strategic management, as well as quantitative analysis methods such as forecasting, optimization, data analysis, and mining from courses like statistics, operations research, and decision theory, to make sound business decisions and achieve strategic goals. In March 2023, the National Enterprise Competition Simulation Competition was newly included in the competition directory of the "2023 National Ordinary College Students Competition Analysis Report" published by the China Association of Higher Education [Competition item number 73]. As of 2024, the National Enterprise Competition Simulation Competition (undergraduate group) has been successfully held 15 times, proving to be of great significance in promoting the integration of management theory and practice, enhancing friendship among institutions, and cultivating students' competitive awareness and teamwork spirit.
