On June 16, 2024, the 3rd CMAU National Market Research and Business Planning Competition for College Students came to a close at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. A total of 115 teams participated in the national finals, which were judged by anonymous experts and followed by an online defense. The final results saw 10 teams awarded the Special Prize, 24 teams receiving the First Prize, 33 teams honored with the Second Prize, and 48 teams winning the Third Prize.
Two teams from the School of Management represented Hefei University of Technology in the national finals. After intense competition, a project submitted by five students—Chen Yu, Chen Yuru, Sun Mengyu, Yu Fangfei, and Zhang Jia—entitled “The Red Flag Flutters Like a Painting, Chasing dreaming Beneath the Sky; In the Prime of Youth, Striving Against the Waves as Flowers Soar—Hongqi HS3 Explores the Path Toward Modernization and Nationalization” (Supervisors: Zhu Xiaoxi, Yan An) won the Special Prize at the national finals. Another project by five students—Wang Junqi, Cheng Ming, Zhang Wenli, Yu Xiaomei, and Tong Kaixu—entitled "Comprehensively Building a Hydrogen Car Ecosystem; Having a Foresight for the Hydrogen-Powered Lifestyle" (Supervisors: Zhou Tao, Yan An) won the Third Prize. This marks a breakthrough for our university in this competition, achieving the best result in its history.

For the third consecutive year, Hefei University of Technology received the "Best College Organization Award". Teacher Zhu Xiaoxi was honored with the “Top Ten Best Supervisors Award,” while Zhu Xiaoxi, Zhou Tao, and Yan An received the “Outstanding Supervisor Award.”
The School of Management places great emphasis on developing undergraduate students' digital analysis skills and management practice capabilities. Adhering to the mission of “Look to the Times, Work down to earth, Move towards the cutting edge, and Achieve new height”, the school is committed to integrating classroom teaching, scientific research, practical teaching, and various high-level innovation competitions. This approach solidly enhances undergraduate students' professional technical foundation and practical management skills. It also supports the national-level first-class major construction in Marketing and the establishment of an internationally high-level School of Management at Hefei University of Technology.
The CMAU Competition, also known as the National Market Research and Business Planning Competition, is a national event organized by the Marketing Association of China Higher Education Institutions, specifically tailored for “business talent” and “business enthusiasts.” The competition closely aligns with enterprise marketing and planning practices and aims to enhance students' professional technical capabilities in market research and business planning, laying a solid foundation for their employment and career development.
