On April 29, 2022, the Academic Committee Meeting of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education for Process Optimization and Intelligent Decision-making was held through online video conference. Academician Chai Tianyou from Northeastern University, the Director of the Academic Committee, presided over the meeting, while Academician Gui Weihua from Central South University, the Deputy Director of the Academic Committee, Academician Chen Jie from Tongji University, and Academician Yang Shanlin from Hefei University of Technology, the Lab Director, attended the meeting. Other Academic Committee members also attended the meeting, including Research Fellow Yu Haibin from Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhou Donghua from Shandong University of Science and Technology, Professor Chen Guoqing from Tsinghua University, Professor Li Yijun from Harbin Institute of Technology, Professor Gao Ziyou from Beijing Jiaotong University, Professor Huang Haijun from Beihang University, Professor Tan Yuejin from National University of Defense Technology, Professor Hu Xiangpei from Zhejiang University/Dalian University of Technology, and Professor Hu Xiaoxuan, Professor Fu Chao, Professor Jiang Yuanchun, Professor Li Kai, and Professor Wang Gang from Hefei University of Technology attended the meeting. Professor Zheng Lei, Vice President of Hefei University of Technology, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Professor Yang Xuezhi, Dean of the Research Institute, and Professor Xu Nanyang, Director of the Research Base Construction Office, attended the meeting.
Vice President Zheng Lei delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the laboratory's supporting units, fully acknowledging the achievements of the laboratory in the past year, and thanking the Academic Committee for its support and assistance in the laboratory construction. He hoped that the laboratory could fully utilize the opportunity of this meeting, humbly seek advice from all committee members, carefully follow their guidance, plan the direction of the lab development, and make it an important platform for disciplinary development.
Academician Yang Shanlin introduced the overall situation of the laboratory construction. Professor Hu Xiaoxuan gave a lab work report, detailing the progress of laboratory construction, scientific research, main research achievements, external cooperation and exchange, laboratory management, and next-step work plans. Professor Pei Jun, Professor Wang Gang, Professor Zhang Qiang, and Research Fellow Li Xiaojian respectively reported their scientific research achievements in the fields of manufacturing resource scheduling optimization methods in the intelligent interconnected environment, data-driven intelligent decision-making methods, design and manufacturing collaborative optimization processes and support platforms for aero-engine research and development, and basic theories and key technologies of intelligent surgical robots for human-machine collaboration.
Experts from the Academic Committee reviewed the laboratory's work and conducted a thorough discussion on the direction, research progress, and work plan of the laboratory. They fully affirmed the excellent achievements of the laboratory in terms of construction positioning and research direction, basic research and achievement output, technological research and application transformation, and talent cultivation and discipline construction. The Academic Committee believed that the laboratory gathered a team of teachers led by the academicians of the CAE in accordance with the requirements of the national strategic scientific and technological strength construction, with clear strategic positioning, precise direction, and interdisciplinary depth, forming distinctive research characteristics and advantages. The Academic Committee also recommended increasing support for the laboratory construction in accordance with the requirements of national key laboratories, and providing specific guidance on the laboratory’s next-step development ideas and high-level research work.
