On the morning of June 11th, the School of Management held an alumni work seminar in the Third Academic Lecture Hall of the Conference Building of the Engineering Management and Intelligent Manufacturing Research Center on Tunxi Road Campus of Hefei University of Technology. More than 50 graduate alumni of various grades of the School of Management returned to the School and participated in this seminar.

Guo Zhiyong, Secretary of the School Party Committee, introduced the development and achievements of the School in recent years from six aspects: mission& vision, discipline construction, faculty & staff, talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services.
The School awarded donation certificates to eight alumni who donated to the School’s cultural construction, including Gao Hongjian, Hou Wenjuan, Chen Xulong, Fan Lan, Kong Xiangquan, Ji Fubiao, Ni Hua'an, and Tang Yuliang.
Ding Zhaogang, Director of the HFUT Alumni Association Office, introduced the the HFUT alumni association work from three aspects: the overview of HFUT alumni, the construction of alumni associations, and the alumni association brand project.
Participating alumni conducted group discussions on topics such as the construction of alumni online communication platform, alumni activities, and the work of the alumni associations in 2023.
Zhang Shiwei, a graduate alumni of 2002, and Wang Haibin, a graduate alumni of 2005, respectively reported the discussion results on behalf of their groups.
With regard to the construction of the alumni online communication platform, they suggested that the School strengthen the content construction of the alumni association's WeChat official account (hfutsomaa), take the class alumni liaison’s WeChat group as the center, give play to the organizational influence of the class liaison, and promote communication among alumni.
Regarding the content of alumni activities, it was recommended that the School organize more activities such as open classes, discussions on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and visits to alumni enterprises. Each activity should be developed into a standardized product covering information such as event time, location, process, and whether fees are charged, which should be reused repeatedly to provide alumni with rich and colorful offline communication opportunities.
With regard to the work of the alumni association in 2023, the alumni said that they would actively promote class students to pay attention to the alumni association's WeChat official account (hfutsomaa), contribute to the alumni essay collection of "We are all builders of the Management School of HFUT", and participate in the Back-to-School activities at the graduation anniversary .
The alumni visited the School's Aerospace System Intelligent Management Engineering Research Center, Smart Medical Health Management Lab, High-end Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Management Lab, and Smart Energy Environment Management Lab.
The alumni who attended the seminar expressed that the School made tremendous changes, and they felt proud as alumni. They hoped the School could strengthen the construction of the alumni association, establish a platform for alumni to participate in the School's construction, and provide opportunities for alumni to share the achievements of the School's development, while contributing their own efforts to its development.
