Personal Introduction

Dr. LI Xiaojian, male, is a researcher and doctoral supervisor in the School of Management, Hefei University of Technology. He was selected to the High-Level Talent Program of Anhui Province in 2019 and was funded by the Outstanding Youth Fund Program of Anhui Provincial Natural Science Foundation in 2021. He received his B.S. degree from the Department of Automation, Southeast University in 2011, and graduated from the Ph.D. joint training program between University of Science and Technology of China and City University of Hong Kong in 2017, receiving two Ph.D. degrees respectively in Control Science and Engineering from USTC and in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from City University of Hong Kong from 2017 to 2018. He was a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. In December 2018, he was introduced as a Huangshan Young Scholar to the School of Management, Hefei University of Technology, to be a researcher.

His main research interests are the application of technologies in the field of biomedical engineeringin for robots, automation, artificial intelligence and other disciplines. He is dedicated to the research and development of automated intelligent medical robotic systems, and his research interests include 3D perception and reconstruction of in vivo environment, autonomous control of minimally invasive surgical robots, and robotic human-machine cooperative manipulation. On key scientific issues related to environmental perception and intelligent control of medical robots in vivo environments, he has made innovative research results in the areas of perception of medical robots in vivo complex environment, micrometer robot system design and precise navigation control, and human-robot cooperative control of minimally invasive surgical robots. He has  published his research results as first author or corresponding author in Science Robotics, Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Robotics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE-ASME Transactions on Mechatronics and other top journals. He was awarded the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award for Excellent Achievements in Scientific Research of Higher Education Institutions (Science and Technology) in 2019, ranked 6th, and the first prize of Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2021, ranked 5th. In terms of talent cultivation, he guided student teams to win in the "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, including 2 silver awards  at national level, and 3 gold awards and 3 silver awards at provincial level.  He also guided students to win 1 silver award in the provincial competition of "Challenge Cup" entrepreneurship competition.
