报告简介

Digital freight platforms frequently face cost-efficiency challenges in operating anomaly detection systems amid the “stasis-punctuation” dynamics of freight data. However, theoretical understanding of anomaly detection for such dynamic freight data remains limited, and contemporary anomaly detection system, such as rule-based and AI-based systems fail to deliver satisfactory performance, as they lack two core capabilities simultaneously: (i) stasis anomaly identification and (ii) punctuation adaptation. To address this research gap, this study designs an AI-augmented system for digital freight platforms to tackle dynamic freight data. Guided by distributed cognition theory, we propose a Rule-then-AI sequential system, where the rule module first screens for potential anomalies and the AI module subsequently refines detection by filtering false positives. We conducted three iterative interventions on a leading Chinese digital freight platform. Notably, the final round of field A/B testing validated that the use of our AI-augmented system achieved a 93.0% detection recovery rate and a 31.7% reduction in expert workload, significantly improving cost efficiency. Theoretically, this study contributes by demonstrating that the sequence of integrating rule and AI modules plays a critical role in shaping the performance of AI-augmented systems.
