Abstract:
Robert will open up the black box of the academic publishing world. He will explain what editors are looking for and therefore seek to help authors to ensure that their research articles are prepared in such a way as to maximise their chances of acceptance. He will use the Information Systems Journal as an example, but the same principles apply to all other good journals. He will examine topics like: what editors look for – and do not look for. The importance of theory and theoretical contribution. Motivation of research and problematisation. Research rigour and relevance. How to reference effectively. The use of Generative AI in the research process.
