Management Science and Engineering:

The discipline of Management Science and Engineering of Hefei University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as the discipline) was authorized to confer a doctoral degree in 2000, granted to have a postdoctoral research center in 2003, and rated as a national first-class key discipline in 2007. In 2017, it scored "A" in the fourth round of the discipline evaluation organized by the Ministry of Education, and was included in the national "Double First-Class" construction discipline list in 2017.

The discipline focuses on cultivating students to have the all-round moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic grounding with a hard-working spirit, to possess lofty ideals and beliefs, to adapt to the major national strategic needs and the forefront of international scientific and technological development, to have a solid foundation of theory and systematic expertise in the discipline, to understand the current status and trends of the scientific and technological development in the discipline, and to be able to discover, analyze and solve problems, and continuously innovate. It also aims to cultivate leaders and management elites who possess both moral and talent qualities, and excellent abilities to consciously serve the country in the information age. The educational system for master’s students is 3 years, with a maximum duration of no longer than 4 years; the maximum duration of education for master's students who have been approved to suspend their schooling for starting a business is 7 years. 1 year is for curriculum study and no less than 1 year for thesis work. The total credits are 28-32, including 16-18 for degree courses.

Business Administration:

The discipline of Business Administration of Hefei University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as the discipline) originates from the former discipline of Management Engineering. It was authorized to confer a master's degree in Management Engineering in 1986, a master's degree in Business Administration in 2000, a master's degree in Accounting in 2003, and a doctoral degree in Business Administration in 2005. It was authorized to confer a master's degree and a doctoral degree in the first-level discipline of Business Administration in 2006 and in 2010 respectively, granted to have a postdoctoral research center in Business Administration in 2012, and approved for a major discipline construction project in Anhui province in 2014.

The discipline focuses on cultivating students to have the all-round moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic grounding with a hard-working spirit, to adapt to the major national strategic needs and the forefront of international scientific and technological development, to possess a solid foundation of theory and systematic expertise in the discipline, to understand the current status and trends of scientific and technological development in the discipline, to effectively integrate modern management theory with the new generation of information technology, and to be able to discover, analyze and solve problems, and continuously innovate. It also aims to cultivate high-level management talents who possess both moral and talent qualities, and excellent abilities to consciously serve the country in the information age. Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc):

This discipline was authorized to confer a master's degree in 2010. In 2011, it was approved by the Office of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee to pilot the degree program for Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) and obtained qualifications for enrollment.

The discipline focuses on cultivating students to have the all-round moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic grounding with a hard-working spirit, to adapt to the needs of the development of China's socialist market economy and economic globalization, to master the basic theory and expertise in accounting and related professional fields, to comprehensively and systematically grasp the cutting-edge research trends of the discipline of Business Administration, and to possess good professional ethics, broad international perspectives and strong abilities to solve practical problems. It also aims to cultivate practical and decision-making senior accounting experts with good professional qualities who are able to independently undertake professional practice or management work.
