The School of Management Held a Series of Theme Activities on Academic Integrity

In order to enhance students' academic integrity and strengthen academic ethics, the School of Management recently held a series of theme activities on academic integrity.

On the afternoon of March 19, 2021, the School of Management held an online theme education activity of "Focusing on Academic Integrity, and Cultivating Family and Patriotic Sentiment", which was attended by all graduate students. At the meeting, the graduate counselors emphasized the importance of academic integrity and called on all students to abide by it. Subsequently, they led all students to study relevant documents and regulations related to academic integrity, including the "Opinions on Further Promoting the Spirit of Scientists and Strengthening the Construction of Work Style and Study Style", the "Several Opinions on Further Strengthening the Construction of Scientific Research Integrity", the "Implementation Rules for Preventing and Dealing with Academic Misconduct at Hefei University of Technology", and the "Self-discipline Code of Moral Conduct for Scientific and Technological Workers". Finally, they proposed that all graduate students should establish the spirit of scientists in the new era, love the motherland, serve the people, bravely climb new heights, dare to be the first, seek truth, pursue rigorous scholarship, be indifferent to fame and fortune, devote themselves to research, gather intelligence to tackle key problems, and unite and cooperate.

On March 12, 2021, the excellent students of each undergraduate class of 2017 in the School of Management held a symposium on academic integrity exchange in Conference Room 1202 of the Management Building. The counselor of Grade 2017 led the students to learn the series documents on academic integrity, and arrange for them to deliver the message to the class, provide academic integrity warning education for graduation thesis to all students, and pay timely attention to the progress of students' graduation thesis.

Next, each class held a theme class meeting to promote academic integrity. The class committee led the students to learn the series documents on academic integrity, and focus on reminding them about academic misconduct, relevant handling methods for academic misconduct, and corresponding cases. They called on all students to hold the bottom line in their mind and not to touch the red line of academic misconduct resolutely. At the same time, they organized students to air their opinions one by one from their own perspectives, and make promises and statements to ensure that they would complete graduation project independently, and deny any academic misconduct resolutely .

The series of academic integrity theme activities has raised students' awareness of integrity, helped cultivate their spirit of integrity and pragmatism, and also contributed to the creation of a good academic atmosphere on campus.
