As one of the most promising future transport means, Electric vehicles (EVs) are gaining wider acceptance. However, charging techniques and their impact on EV batteries and the grid bring many challenges, making EV grid integration and charging techniques a main research focus. EVs can be charged wired or wirelessly; the latter, based on inductively coupled WPT technology, is popular for convenience, safety, and suitability for stationary and dynamic charging. This seminar discusses EV charging challenges and the latest advances in wireless EV charging.
电动汽车作为未来最具前景的交通方式之一,正获得广泛认可。但充电技术及其对动力电池、电网的影响存在诸多挑战,使得电动汽车电网接入与充电技术成为研究核心。电动汽车可有线或无线充电,无线充电基于感应耦合WPT技术,因便捷、安全且适用于静动态充电而受青睐。本次研讨会探讨充电挑战及无线充电最新进展。
报告人简介:
Prof. Udaya K. Madawala, PhD (1993, University of Auckland, NZ), is a renowned expert in power electronics with over 30 years of R&D experience. He serves as a technical consultant for international institutions and enterprises. His research spans power conversion, wireless inductive power transfer (WPT), machine design & control, and energy management. Notably, his pioneering work in bidirectional WPT and transmission systems has yielded innovative, forward-looking results, significantly advancing related technologies.
Udaya K. Madawala教授1993年获新西兰奥克兰大学博士学位,拥有30余年电力电子研发经验,任国际科研机构及企业技术咨询专家。其研究方向包括功率变换、无线感应电能传输(WPT)、电机设计与控制及高效能源管理,尤其在双向WPT与输电系统方向,取得多项原创性、前瞻性基础成果,开创性研究推动了相关技术发展。
